We hope you had an exciting and safe Halloween, but now that it's over and your wondering what to do with your pumpkin, we've included a tasty recipe to roast those pumpkin seeds.  Although they are high in calories, they are a good source of protein and loaded with fiber, vitamins, minerals, and numerous health promoting antioxidants.

We've had a beautiful October for the most part, but now the cooler weather and flu season is upon us.  Prepare yourself with five ingredients to enhance your immune system.  I've been doing it for close to 10 years and I've gone from battling colds on average 4-6 times a year to maybe one a year, if that. 

Are you finding yourself hunched at your workdesk all day long?  We've got some great stretches you can do without even having to leave your chair.  Now you've got no excuses!

True Yoga is deep.  It's not just about doing the poses. But Westerners view Yoga differently than they do in it's birth place.  Here's a very brief view of what Yoga is about.

If you're a new mom getting ready to go back to work, you might remember how overwhelming it was when you planned an outing when you first brought your baby home.  Now as you head back to work, you may be considering pumping milk for your baby.  We found a fabulous article that will help take the overwhelm out of that, and have you set up and ready to go in no time!

Stretch at the Office

Sitting in front of a desk every day can wreak havoc on your body, especially since most of us don't have the best posture. Hunching the shoulders and slumping in your seat can cause back pain, headaches, tension and tightness in your back, neck and shoulders. The following stretches target the muscles of the back, neck and shoulders as well as the hips and glutes. Taking time to do some of these stretches throughout the day can help increase flexibility and reduce tension and stress.  Try them here.

Complicating matters further, the term yoga has been in use for several thousand years and has shifted in meaning many times. New Moms: 4 Ways to Prepare for Pumping at Work

If you are going to work after having a baby, you have probably thought about how you will integrate pumping or feeding your baby during work hours into your schedule. Maybe you know other employees who have already been successful at making this work, or maybe you will be a trailblazer at your job. Roasted Pumpkin Seeds (8 x 1/4 cup servings)
Original Recipe



Ingredients
:
2 cups fresh pumpkin seeds
3 tbsp butter, melted
1 tsp salt
1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce


Preparation:
1. Line a 15-in. x 10-in. x 1-in. baking pan with foil and grease the foil. In a small bowl, combine all ingredients; spread into prepared pan. Bake at 250° for 45-50 minutes, stirring occasionally.
 

2. Increase heat to 325°. Bake 5 minutes longer or until seeds are dry and lightly browned. Serve warm, or cool before storing in an airtight container.
