Class Descriptions

Animal Kingdom Movements gets your little monkeys moving creatively! They’ll have a blast jumping like frogs, lumbering like gorillas, skittering like crabs, or swimming and playing like whales, dolphins and seals. A super fun, creative and different way to get your little humans moving!

Ayurveda Yoga invites you to experience the sacred rhythm of the seasons through yogic practices & Ayurvedic wisdom and learn how to establish a daily Sadhana (daily spiritual practice) to support your mental health during Fall and Winter. Each week, we’ll dive into movement and pranayama for grounding and nervous system regulation, guided meditation, and discussions about daily routine.

Baby and Me Yoga classes are designed with the birthing parent and new baby in mind. Connect with your young one with playful asana (exercises) as you stretch, breathe and relax your body back into shape, while your baby is stimulated physically, emotionally and socially. This class is best suited for those who have healed after delivery, and for babes who are not yet very mobile. Previous yoga experience is not necessary.

Baby Sign Language Babies understand and can communicate long before they are able to speak. Research shows that babies who learn Sign Language learn quicker and talk earlier. Using songs and games learn how to teach your baby basic American Sign Language (ASL) so they can better convey their wants and needs and relieve unnecessary frustration. The instructor will teach you the signs and songs so you can practice at home.  Babies can sleep during class or you can bring some toys.  Newborn-24 months. Please bring your own mat or blanket to sit on. One parent/caregiver per registered child.

Beginner Yoga is suitable for all levels of experience. Work on balance, strength, flexibility and relaxation as you build your self-awareness.  A more profound connection with the body is developed, releasing tension and anxiety.

Chair Yoga explores gentle Yoga poses, breathing exercises and meditation while using a chair for support. This class is beneficial for people with decreased mobility, pain/discomfort in the body, or simply want to experience a new way of doing Yoga. Safely receive all of the benefits of a traditional Yoga class (ease stiff muscles, increase flexibility, improve posture, and release stress) without having to get up and down from the floor. Chair Yoga is suitable for everyone.

Chair Pilates focusses on the core stabilizers of the body using a chair for support. This class helps to improve mobility while strengthening the muscles using the basic principles of mat Pilates. This class is not designed for those with special needs that require a support person.

Core and More classes target mainly the middle part of the body – abs, obliques, back, shoulders and glutes. Strengthening these areas help with posture and improves overall strength and mobility required for both fitness and daily life.

Flow Yoga incorporates Hatha postures in a vinyasa (flow) style, designed to bring about an inner connection and calm. Focus on the breath allows the student to let go of tension and anxiety, and helps with re-connecting to the body on a more profound level. At the same time, the body is stretched, toned, and massaged, releasing trapped toxins in the tissues and increasing energy levels. It will be your time to relax, become more present and connect to yourself.

Gentle Yoga for Beginners is designed for those new to yoga or looking to revisit the basics. We will focus on foundational poses, proper alignment, and mindful breathing techniques. Each session will be accessible to everyone, with modifications provided to ensure all participants feel comfortable and supported. Whether you’re looking to improve flexibility, reduce stress, or simply try something new, this class is a welcoming space for all.

Hatha Yoga is suitable for all levels of experience. Work on balance, strength, flexibility and relaxation as you build your self-awareness.  A more profound connection with the body is developed, releasing tension and anxiety.

Parent and Child Yoga (check center for child ages) classes bring together parent and child by incorporating yoga poses done both individually and in partners; encouraging family bonding time. You will experience meditation, breathing techniques, storytelling, imagery and movements. Get together, get creative and imaginative in this class!

Pilates participants will learn the fundamentals of Pilates which promotes strength and stability while lengthening the muscles and supporting the spine. There will be a strong focus on connecting to the abdominal and pelvic floor muscles which is the key to strengthening the core muscles of the body.

Pilates for Older Adults is essentially a balanced compilation of exercises to strengthen your torso (core). As we age, our body changes, often giving way to slower movement, less activity, and feelings of discomfort in the body. A stronger core can strengthen your entire body and thus improve your mobility and balance while alleviating pain and discomfort. These classes are designed for relatively active individuals over the age of 55.

Pilates Fusion This class uses controlled movements incorporating Pilates and Yoga to improve your flexibility, strength, and endurance. Emphasis is on alignment, breathing, and developing core awareness. It is an all levels practice that consists of a full body work out. You’ll feel amazing after!

Pilates Gentle Stretch is a mindful sequence of light core exercises and gentle stretches designed to relax tight muscles, open up the body and increase range of motion.

Prenatal Yoga invites the expecting birth parent to combine exercise and thoughts with others. With an emphasis on breath, relaxation and postures that will increase strength and endurance, this class focuses on relieving common discomforts of pregnancy and techniques to reduce pain contributing to an easier delivery. Doctor’s approval is recommended.

Pre-Teen Yoga is an introduction to Yoga. Your Pre-Teen will learn breathing techniques, meditation, mindfulness and yoga pose sequencing, known as asanas. They will explore visual imagery and relaxation techniques while conveying lessons in self expression, body image, social skills, positive thinking, and environmental awareness.

Restorative Yoga is a restful practice that helps slowing down and opening the body through holding a handful of yoga poses for a longer duration using props like yoga blocks, blankets, and bolsters. It is a practice of deep relaxation that emphasizes the meditative aspect of yoga—the union of body and mind. Through the use of props for support, you can easily melt into postures to release any unwanted tension in the body. The only work that’s required on your part is to pay attention to your breath to help you clear your mind and find stillness on your mat.

Slow Flow Yoga is a moving meditation for your body and mind! In this slow but dynamic practice, we move through a flowing series of classical Hatha yoga postures designed to build more precise physical and energetic alignment, improve balance, create flexibility, and find strength in softness.

Stroller Yoga are indoor classes allowing a perfect way for parents and kids to engage in fitness together while fostering a sense of calm and well-being. In our class, we will explore basic yoga poses with, and without, a stroller to help build strength, flexibility, and balance. Bond with your baby while enjoying gentle stretching, breathing exercises, and playful activities to keep the little ones engaged. Parents will benefit from the opportunity to practice mindfulness and relaxation techniques in a supportive community environment. Join us for a joyful and rejuvenating experience that strengthens both body and bond. Bring Yoga mat, water and stroller to class, along with a blanket and toys. Participants should be minimum 8 weeks postpartum.

Vinyasa Flow Yoga synchronizes the breath with movement and allows you to create a deeper absorption of awareness through a rhythmic moving meditation while practicing yoga. This flow of movement is excellent for getting your heart rate going and working up a sweat. Vinyasa can also help increase flexibility, strength, stability, calmness, and focus.

Yoga Crafts for Kids explores your child’s creativity and imagination through a combination of Arts and Crafts and Yoga. Each class is designed around a theme; bringing crafts to life through the practice of Yoga. Children will learn a wide range of movements to develop their motor skills in a playful learning environment. Parent participation is requested.

Yoga: Intermediate/Advanced takes your practice to the next level and explores the physical potential you didn’t even know you have in this alignment based practice. We will break down some challenging poses while building strength and flexibility through drills, the use of blocks and moving your body in a flowing rhythm.

Yoga for All welcomes all body types to cultivate a strong body, a powerful mind, and a peaceful heart. Moving dynamically with breath through flowing gentle yoga postures  you will build whole body strength, unwind tight joints, and restore physical, mental & emotional balance.  This beginner level class offers new and experienced students a safe, fun and supportive environment to explore the foundation postures and breathing techniques of Hatha Yoga.  Improve your flexibility, strength, mental health and state of being by practicing easy twists, balances, stretches and inversions.

Yoga for Fitness is a fitness-based approach to Yoga incorporating both dynamic and resistance based movement including lots of vinyasas (series of poses done in sequence). This class is for all levels of fitness and Yoga knowledge allowing you to step up or draw back based on your goals and capabilities. Come work out and have fun!

Yoga for Older Adults classes are designed for relatively active individuals over the age of 55.  Emphasis in these classes is on balance, strength and flexibility.  Classes are slow and gentle allowing everyone to work at their own pace.

Yoga Fusion is a Yoga based class incorporating not only Yoga postures, but fusing it with the basics and fundamentals of Pilates. Become more supple and lean as you build strength and stamina, all while focusing on proper posture, movement and breath. Have fun and explore at your own pace. No Yoga or Pilates experience necessary.

Yoga for Strength and Mobility works on your core and upper body strength, hip and shoulder mobility through yoga asanas. Suitable for all levels. This holistic practice will complement your other movement practices and sports activities.

Yoga Sculpt blends yoga and a strength workout to provide you with an energizing and dynamic experience. Yoga postures act as our foundation as we find pulsing repetitions and fiery sequences. In this class, small controlled movements are used to improve strength, endurance and flexibility. Challenge yourself as you create long lean muscles, tone your core and improve posture. Build functional strength that will not only level up your yoga practice but will cultivate more balance and stability off of your yoga mat.

Yoga to Unwind and Reset is a combination of gentle asana (movement), pranayama (breathwork), and meditation, designed specifically to calm the mind, soothe the nervous system and reconnect you with a sense of ease. This is an invitation to slow down, relax and cultivate presence. All levels are welcome. No experience needed. Class will be gentle and accessible with an extended savasana.
