Ahhhh...Spring is upon us, and I can feel it in the air.  As you feel and fill the need to clean and purge your home, you might also want to consider cleansing your body.  We do so much to clean and maintain the environment around us....the earth, our homes, our luxuries.  But what about our body?  We use shampoos and creams on the outside, but what about the inside?  April is a great month to consider a gentle cleanse to purify and nourish your body.  Check out this article on how to do it right.

We are contemplating adding a few new classes to our Fall program line up.  Please feel free to let us know (before the end of this week) if there's anything you'd like to see.  One class we've been thinking about is Laughter Yoga.  If we offered this in your area, would you attend?  Let us know what you think.

Now it's time to register for Spring classes!  Be sure to check out what's being offered at www.intoyoga.ca/classes.htm.  We really want to see you.  And....don't forget to REGISTER EARLY!  Some classes start as early as this coming weekend.

For now, please take some time to enjoy our current newsletter.

Small Changes That Make Big Differences

You might not think much of making small changes in your diet or lifestyle. These decisions are small, after all. It’s hard to imagine that anything spectacular could be expected from just eating a little less, walking a little more, or taking a vitamin and mineral supplement daily. To make a serious difference means big changes, right? Your biology couldn’t disagree more.

Bariatric physician and medical surgeon Dr. Rubén Trevińo of Monterrey, Mexico, points out that the human body is rife with examples of how even the tiniest of changes can make tremendous differences.

In fact, just a slight change in degrees of the temperature of your body or the pH of the blood can mean the difference between life and death, the anti-aging specialist said. To continue reading, click here.

8 Yoga Mistakes That Are Holding Back Your Practice

By Charu Chandra

For various reasons, I like to practice my yoga at home. While this gives me a lot of freedom to practice it the way I want to, it also means that I have to be my own teacher. This in turn means that the little corrections, the tiny push which teachers provide are things I need to do on my own.

While it's possible to do this (I take videos of my sessions), you sometimes never know if you're still making mistakes. Even if you go to a yoga class, you may not be getting enough individual attention to rectify the small missteps — both physical and mental — that may hold you back from developing your practice.

Sign Language Words for Baby

Ready to start teaching your baby a few words of sign language?  Here's a link to some easy first words to learn and teach your baby.

Quinoa Salad with Preserved Lemon and Chickpeas
(makes four 1 cup servings)
View Original Recipe www.foodnetwork.com

1˝ cups uncooked quinoa, rinsed
2˝ cups water
1/3 cup canned chickpeas, rinsed and drained
1/4 cup thinly sliced preserved lemon
1/4 cup dried cranberries
1/4 cup finely chopped cilantro
1/4 cup thinly sliced shallots, fried in olive oil until crisp (or left raw)
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon kosher salt
Pinch of ground black pepper

Combine the quinoa and water in a medium, lidded pot. Set pot over high heat and bring water to a boil. Lower heat so water gently simmers, and cover pot. Simmer quinoa another 15 minutes and remove from the heat. Let grains stand, covered, for another 5 minutes. Strain and allow to cool completely.

Just before serving, place the ingredients together in a large bowl and toss to combine.
